Three Ways To Immerse Yourself In Nature When You Have Little Time

We can all get stuck in a vicious circle of work, family commitments and other responsibilities that take over our precious time. So what are some quick ways to immerse yourself in nature when you have little time?

The benefits of being in nature are plentiful. There's no question about it.

But how can you fit in at least 15 to 30 minutes in your day... or even week for that matter.

Let's explore some ways we can do this while balancing our busy lives.

How To Immerse Yourself In Nature When Time Is Precious

Before we delve into the ways, know this: nobody is stopping you from doing this but you.

Mindset and the desire to do something good for yourself is all that you need.

1. Enjoy A Urban Trail

Have a urban trail close to your home? Take a quick walk and enjoy the time outdoors with fresh air.

It doesn't have to be a long walk - 15 minutes is all you need to have a change of scenery.

TIP: With crime rates rising, it's ideal to go with somebody else if possible or at least carry something that will keep you safe. Personal safety is important. Be aware of your surroundings.

2. Nature Sounds And Relaxing Visuals

Stuck at home? Can't escape because you've got too much on your plate?

It may be time to find your favourite source of nature sounds and visuals that relax you.

There are many who believe that frequencies have positive health benefits. Couple that with nature sounds - those that you find in the most relaxing places such as waterfalls, lush forests or jungles - even the wind over wheat fields.

Add to this visuals of natural landscapes or whimsical AI-generated fairy forest scenes and you've got something that relaxes you.

Tone down the pop, rap and rock music.

TIP: Spa or yoga meditation music works wonders. Consider Tibetan bowls if you're interested in the power of frequencies.

3. Create A Indoor Garden Nook

Sometimes all you need is a few minutes to yourself surrounded by greenery.

Green is a soothing, peace-inducing colour. If you've got a space in your home for a mini indoor-garden, consider creating one.

Include a comfy chair and side table for moments where you enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and spend a few minutes organizing your life.

Sofa with coffee table and plants - immerse yourself in nature.

Just being in a pretty spot at home can boost your mood.

Consider one of these notebooks for time spent on journaling or just writing down ideas.

Create Opportunities For A Mini Nature Escape

As you can see, you can have small doses of nature in your daily life when you can't escape for a longer hike in the woods.

Make it part of your life - from your visuals and sounds, to your environment.
